You can send a **voice note** in WhatsApp by converting text into audio using either **OpenAI** or **ElevenLabs** integrations.

### How it works

1. **Integration Required**
   - You must connect either **OpenAI TTS** or **ElevenLabs TTS** under **Integrations → Voice**.
   - Without integration, the text will not be converted into audio.
2. **OpenAI Command (#voice)**
   - Converts your text into a **standard OpenAI-generated voice note**.
   - Sent from the currently active WhatsApp number.
3. **ElevenLabs Command (#voiceAI)**
   - Converts your text into a **natural voice note** using ElevenLabs voices.
   - Format:
     - **EL** → Defines ElevenLabs provider.
     - **VoiceNameOrID** → The ElevenLabs voice to use. Can be a default voice (e.g., shimmer) or a **custom voice ID**.

**Message** → The text to be spoken.

### Result

- With #voice|Hello, how are you? → The recipient receives a voice note generated by **OpenAI TTS**.
- With #voiceAI|EL|shimmer|¡Hola! → The recipient receives a voice note generated by **ElevenLabs** using the *Shimmer* voice.

### ⚠️ Important Notes

1. &#x20;**Integration is mandatory**: OpenAI or ElevenLabs must be configured first.
2. **Voice selection**:
   - OpenAI → No voice selection, only the default voice.
   - ElevenLabs → You can choose a predefined voice (e.g., shimmer) or use a custom voice ID.
3. **Processing time**: Depends on provider and text length (longer text takes more time).
4. Commands must be sent from your **CRM integration Conversations tab** (e.g., HighLevel), not directly from the WhatsApp mobile app.
