The **Delay Command** allows you to introduce a random delay before sending a message. This is useful to make automated conversations feel more natural and avoid messages being delivered instantly one after another.

### Command Syntax

:::BlockQuote
\<Your message here> !/DELAY/\<X>/\<Y>/!
:::

- **X** → Minimum delay (in milliseconds).
- **Y** → Maximum delay (in milliseconds).
- ⚠️ 1000 milliseconds = 1 second.

### How it works

1. Write your message normally.
2. At the **end of the message**, append the !/DELAY/X/Y/! command.
3. Wazzap will wait a random time between **X** and **Y** before sending the message.
4. The value must be an **integer in milliseconds**.

### Examples

**Example 1**

:::BlockQuote
Hello, how are you? !/DELAY/1000/6000/!
:::

- The message will be delayed randomly between **1 and 6 seconds** before being sent.

**Example 2**

:::BlockQuote
We have a new promotion for you! !/DELAY/2000/5000/!
:::

- The message will be delayed randomly between **2 and 5 seconds**.

### Best Practices

1. Always place the delay command **at the end of the message**.
2. Use realistic values (e.g., 1000–6000 ms) to simulate natural response times.

### ⚠️ Important Notes

1. Values must be written in **milliseconds**.
2. Both numbers (X and Y) must be **integers**.
3. If the command is malformed or misplaced, the message may be sent instantly without delay.
4. This command applies to **each message individually**.

✅ With the **Delay Command**, you can make your WhatsApp automations more natural and human-like, reducing the risk of messages being flagged as bulk or spam.
