If your number has been blocked a second time, or if WhatsApp Support considers the violation too severe, you will have no choice but to acquire a **new number** and reconnect it to the API.

If this is the **first block**, there’s still a chance to unlock it by following WhatsApp’s official recovery process.

### Why Just Changing the SIM Card Is Not Enough

When a number is banned, WhatsApp often also flags:

- The **IP address** of the subscriber.
- The **IMEI (device ID)** of the phone used.

This means that if you only replace the SIM card but keep the same device and IP, WhatsApp will still treat your activity as suspicious, and the new number will likely be blocked again quickly.

### Step-by-Step Procedure

1. **Delete the WhatsApp app** from your device.
2. **Change the IP address** on the device:
   - Connect to a different Wi-Fi network, or
   - Use another mobile data provider.
3. **Reinstall WhatsApp**.
4. **Register a brand-new number** that has not been blocked before.
5. **Use the number for a “quiet” communication period** lasting several days to a week:
   - Send and receive normal personal messages.
   - Receive replies — don’t make it one-sided.
   - Exchange files (images, audio, video).
   - Join or participate in groups.
   - Make and receive calls.
6. **If possible, use a different phone**.
   - If your IMEI is flagged, even a new SIM and IP won’t protect you.
   - A new device gives you a clean start.
7. Once the number shows stable activity, **authenticate it again with your channel**.

### Important Considerations

- Even when using a new number, there’s **always a risk** of being blocked again.
- A flagged IMEI may cause bans on any new number you use on the same device.
- A new phone + new IP + fresh number gives the **best chance of stability**.
- Use the new number carefully for at least the first week before scaling activity.

### Best Practices After Reconnection

- Avoid heavy or mass messaging in the first days.
- Slowly increase the number of conversations and contacts.
- Balance outgoing and incoming communication.
- Don’t message only strangers; build activity with known contacts first.
- Treat the new number as “fragile” for at least 1–2 weeks.
- Always keep **backup numbers** ready in case of future bans.

✅ By following these steps, you reduce the chances of an immediate re-ban and increase the lifespan of your new WhatsApp number.
